The following is a guest post by BuzzBuzzHome, the most comprehensive listing of new construction homes. Aside from cataloguing all new construction in Canada and the U.S., BuzzBuzzHome maintains a news site, publishing all the real estate news that’s fit to print.
Is summer coming to an end already?
While not everyone gets excited for the season that people typically associate with impending colder weather and back to school shopping, those in the real estate industry come alive in the early fall.
Agents blow the dust off their smartphones, developers ready their sales teams and calendars start filling up with new condo launch events. There’s so much going on in the fall that we thought it wise to prepare a simple guide so that real estate savvy Canadians can get the jump on the busy market.
Below are the 5 new condo projects you should be looking out for across Canada this fall. Enjoy!
The Yorkdale Condos by Context and Metropia Urban Landscapes, Toronto
This uber convenient project by Context and Metropia Urban Landscapes will have it all: easy access to the Yorkdale subway station that will take residents downtown, close proximity to the 401 for trips beyond the city, and, last but not least, the best neighbour a savvy shopper can ask for – the Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The early renderings show a structure with an obvious sense of style and more detailed information is in the pipeline. Stay tuned!
The Concord by Concord Pacific, Calgary
Concord Pacific’s first foray into the Calgary housing market is a luxury condo development simply titled The Concord. The two-building, 14-storey project along the Bow River will boast a plethora of resort-style amenities, including a private skating rink, super-sized garage, and indoor and outdoor pools. Concord Pacific president Terry Hui told the Financial Post that when it launches, “it’s probably going to be the most high-end building the city has ever seen”.
Minto Westside by Minto, Toronto
Take one look at the renderings of this 20-storey condo in Toronto and you’ll be struck by its contemporary, geometric design. The project’s bold exterior by Wallman Architects is just one of the reasons the Minto building is popping up on people’s radars. Another benefit? The condo at Bathurst Street and Front Street West will feature an 8,000-square-foot amenity space, complete with an indoor/outdoor party room, private courtyard and (yes) a rooftop pool.
The Independent by Rize Alliance, Vancouver
For years, one of the most talked-about developments in Vancouver has been Rize’s The Independent. The 21-storey condo and townhouse project is situated at the intersection of Broadway, Kingsway and Main Street – a trendy locale that’s surrounded by boutique shops, craft breweries, record stores, independent cafes and bike routes. It’s little wonder why people are calling the area the new heart of the city.
Beacon by Sorbara Development Group, Toronto
After giving VIPs a sneak peek at the scale model during an event in June, Sorbara is ready to unveil Beacon to the public this fall. The 35-storey North York condo is located only a couple minutes from North York Centre Station and a short drive from the 401. In demand interior designers UNION31 are attached to this project while Wallman Architects and Rafael Bigauskas make up Beacon’s architecture team.
